Dr. Isah A. Lawal is a senior data scientist specializing in statistical data analysis, machine learning applications in business analytics, and design of decision support systems. Experienced with all stages of the development cycle for Artificial Intelligent (AI) based projects. AWS Academy Educator with relevant cloud technologies skills. Strong background in project management and industrial consultancy. He is currently the Program Leader for Applied Data Science bachelor degree program at Noroff School of Technology and Digital Media Kristiansand, Norway.
Dr. Lawal received Bachelor in Electrical Electronic Engineering and Master in Computer Engineering degrees from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University(ATBU), Bauchi, Nigeria, and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Following this, He secured a 3-year fellowship for a joint PhD in Interactive and Cognitive Environments in 2011, under the Erasmus Mundus Fellowship, from Queen Mary University of London (UK) and University of Genoa (Italy), which He completed in 2015. His PhD thesis involved the development of a set of machine learning suits for video analytic with application in public scene analysis. He is a member of professional bodies such as Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) , Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) . .
